# Fidelity

> What makes Unleeshed personas sound authentic

## What is Fidelity?

**Fidelity** is how accurately our AI captures a real person's voice, style, and perspective. High fidelity means the output is indistinguishable from what the actual person might say.

<Note>
  Fidelity is what separates Unleeshed from generic AI. Anyone can generate sports text — we generate **their** sports text.
</Note>

## The Fidelity Difference

### Generic AI

```
The Lakers should consider trading Anthony Davis. His injury history
is concerning and they could acquire valuable assets. However, his
talent level when healthy makes this a difficult decision.
```

*Accurate, but forgettable. Could be anyone. Could be Wikipedia.*

### High-Fidelity Unleeshed Persona

```
Look, I've been around this league for 30 years, and I've seen
superstars come and go. AD? He's a generational talent when he's
on the floor. But that's the million-dollar question — WHEN is he
on the floor? You're talking about a guy who's played 70+ games
exactly ONCE in the last five seasons. At some point, the Lakers
brass has gotta look in the mirror and ask themselves: are we
building around a player or building around a hospital bed?
```

*Distinctive voice. Strong opinions. Memorable phrasing. You can hear who's talking.*

## What We Capture

Our AI training captures multiple dimensions of each persona:

### Voice & Cadence

How they structure sentences, their rhythm, their verbal tics.

* Short, punchy sentences vs. flowing analysis
* Rhetorical questions and dramatic pauses
* Signature phrases ("At the end of the day...", "Here's the thing...")

### Expertise & Knowledge

What they know deeply and what they reference.

* Sport-specific terminology
* Historical comparisons they favor
* Stats and metrics they trust

### Personality & Perspective

Their worldview and how they approach topics.

* Optimistic vs. skeptical
* Numbers-driven vs. eye-test
* Player-friendly vs. front-office perspective

### Hot Takes & Opinions

Their actual stances, not generic AI neutrality.

* Controversial opinions they're known for
* Teams/players they love or criticize
* Predictions they'd actually make

## Fidelity in Practice

When you request commentary, our AI:

1. **Analyzes the topic** — Understands what's being asked
2. **Retrieves persona context** — Loads the persona's voice model
3. **Generates in-character** — Produces content as that persona would
4. **Quality checks** — Validates fidelity before delivery

### Example: Same Topic, Three Personas

**Topic:** "Is Jalen Hurts a top-5 QB?"

<Tabs>
  <Tab title="Coach's Take">
    > "Top five? Let's pump the brakes. The kid is talented, no question. But when I'm evaluating quarterbacks, I'm looking at how they perform when the play breaks down, when the protection isn't there, when it's third-and-long in the fourth quarter. Hurts has shown flashes, but top five means you're putting him above guys who've done it for a decade. He's not there yet."
  </Tab>

  <Tab title="Analytics Take">
    > "By EPA per play, Hurts ranked 4th among qualified quarterbacks last season. His CPOE in high-leverage situations was +3.2%, top 6 in the league. The data supports a top-5 argument. What's interesting is his improvement trajectory — his decision-making metrics have improved each year, suggesting sustainable performance rather than outlier variance."
  </Tab>

  <Tab title="Hot Take Host">
    > "TOP FIVE?! Are you KIDDING me?! The man just led his team to a Super Bowl! He's got an MVP trophy! Of COURSE he's top five! I don't even know why we're having this conversation! You got Mahomes, you got Allen, you got Hurts — that's your top three right there, and I'll die on that hill!"
  </Tab>
</Tabs>

Same topic. Completely different takes. That's fidelity.

## How We Achieve High Fidelity

### Persona Onboarding

Each persona goes through an extensive onboarding process:

1. **Content analysis** — We study their existing content (interviews, articles, podcasts, social media)
2. **Voice profiling** — We map their linguistic patterns and style
3. **Opinion mapping** — We document their known positions and perspectives
4. **Validation** — The persona reviews and approves their AI representation

### Continuous Improvement

Fidelity isn't static:

* Personas can provide feedback on outputs
* We update models as personas evolve
* Partner feedback helps identify gaps
* Regular quality audits maintain standards

## Fidelity Guarantees

## Why Fidelity Matters

For your audience, fidelity means:

* **Engagement** — Distinctive voices are memorable
* **Trust** — Authentic content builds credibility
* **Value** — Generic AI is commoditized; fidelity is rare

For your business, fidelity means:

* **Differentiation** — Content only you can offer
* **Retention** — Audiences return for voices they love
* **Premium positioning** — Authenticity commands value
